ABOUT BFP GLOBAL

1. THE PURPOSE

BFP Global is a vibrant network of churches, networks, and movements connected in partnership with the German Pentecostal Movement, BFP. Together, we share a commitment to advancing the Gospel, strengthening local churches, and fostering global collaboration within the Pentecostal family.

2. THE PREMISE

BFP Global is committed to the Great Commission – to go into all the nations and plant vibrant, multiplying churches that impact their communities and beyond.

3. THE CONNECTION TO THE BFP

Local churches outside Germany are connected to the BFP through the BFP International Network and a partnering mother church within the BFP.

Networks and movements outside Germany are connected to the BFP through BFP Global.

There is no legal affiliation between these churches, networks, and movements and the BFP. They operate independently and are not subordinated to the structures of the BFP.

4. RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BFP

As a network, BFP Global is built on trustworthy relationships. Leaders of networks and movements are invited to take part in leadership videocalls as well as in BFP leadership conferences in Germany, which take place at least every two years.

6. RELATIONSHIP WITH THE WAGF

Through the BFP’s membership in the World Assemblies of God Fellowship (WAGF), we also seek to provide integration into the WAGF for the partner networks and movements of BFP Global.

OUR CREED

1. God

We believe in the one eternal God of the Bible, the Creator of heaven and earth, who reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

2. God the Father

We believe in God the Father, the origin of all fatherhood, who in mercy and care turns to mankind and wants all to come to the knowledge of the truth. Therefore, in His love that surpasses all human understanding, He gave His Son for the salvation of a lost world.

3. Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Word of God made flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. In Him, God has revealed Himself definitively to us human beings for salvation. The Bible, the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, inspired by God’s Spirit, bears witness to this as an infallible guide to our life, thought and action. As the Word of God made flesh, Jesus Christ, through his substitutionary final sacrifice in his death on the cross, obtained salvation for all people once and for all, so that after the resurrection and ascension to heaven, seated at the right hand of God, he could intercede for us with the Father.
We believe that Jesus, our Lord, will come again in power and glory, to eternal glory for the saved and eternal judgment for the lost. In Him, God invites all people as lost sinners to receive His salvation through repentance and faith.

4. Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who, because of the redemption of Jesus Christ through the new birth, creates new life in us and brings it to completion in the resurrection from the dead. Through the baptism with the Holy Spirit, the exalted Lord wants to enable all believers to serve. Through his presence in those who are born again, he brings forth the fruit of the Spirit. In doing so, the Holy Spirit, in divine sovereignty, assigns various gifts, ministries, and effects for the mutual edification of believers and for service to the world.

5. The Church

We believe that the church is the community called out by God of those redeemed from sin, through whom He proclaims His salvation to the world. It is also, as the body of Jesus, the place of mutual service to which God calls and enables all members. Through baptism (by immersion) based on personal confession of forgiveness of sins and faith in Jesus Christ, believers are added to the local church. In the Lord’s Supper, it proclaims the Lord’s death and the common sharing of Jesus Christ as the head of the church, his body, in anticipation of his return.
Sharing in Jesus their Lord especially includes sanctification and faith-filled expectation of healing and restoration of the whole person.
